Picturing the USS Voyager

USS Voyager is an Intrepid-class starship commanded by Captain Kathryn Janeway. It is of course featured in the Star Trek: Voyager sci-fi television series. It first appeared in the episode ‘Caretaker’.

In the film, the ship was launched in 2371 with the registry NCC-74556. It has a warp speed of up to 9.975 and four types of armaments. The Voyager has a Tricobalt device, photon torpedos, phasers, and transphasic torpedoes. It is also equipped with a shield and ablative hull armor, a warp drve, impulse engines, and RCS thrusters. Its power is based on a matter or antimatter reactor. It is 344 meters long and housed 141 crew although it can house more.

USS Voyager has a total of 15 decks and 257 rooms. It weighs about 700, 000 metric tons and was built in the Utopia Plannitia Fleet Yards. It is able to increase processing speed and can better organize its information processing through the use of bio-neutral gel packs that supplement ts isolinear optical chips. Although it has 47 spare gel packs, it could not replicate additional packs. It is also built with holodecks and is capable of planetary landings. Although unlike the Enterprise, the Voyager is not built with saucer separation capability. Instead, the ship ejects the warp core in cases of emergency.

An Emergency Medical Hologram is built inside the ship with a library of more than 5 million different medical treatments gathered from 2,000 references and 47 physicians. It initially has 42 photon torpedoes with type 6 warheads and two tricobalt devces. It underwent modifications and upgrade upon its mission in the Delta Quadrant.
